Our team with the pastor at the Crusade
This picture was taken at a Crusade in a township called Kwadabega. On this particular day, we went around with a team of Christian Zulus preaching and praying with the people in the immediate area and many were saved during the Crusade.
These past few weeks of outreach, we have really seen the Holy Spirit move in the team, bringing us supernatural joy and peace. God has been challenging the students to step out of their comfort zones and into their stretch zones. As a result we have seen a couple dozen people come to Christ and even quite a few miracles and healings. As a team, we have been learning to walk in the power that God gives us through Jesus Christ.
Isn’t God amazing? For Tracy and I, this has been a time of intense growth as leaders. We have been out of our comfort zone pretty much for this whole trip, which is hard and awesome at the same time because we know that we have to be out of our comfort zones to grow.
We have been able to do so many things already, and we are excited to see what’s to come for the remainder of our time. We have spent a few afternoons serving a group of men at a soup kitchen.
We have also been able to visit a half-way rehabilitation center called Careline on a regular basis and it has turned out to be incredible. The guys there are really going through some incredible life changing events, some of them coming out of lifestyles of hard core drugs, rape, and even murder. It has been cool to see the students stepping out and building relationships with the guys.
Beyond that, we have spent many days with kids in orphanages and going out into the community preaching, praying, and healing. God’s hand is upon us and we are just so excited for the rest of this time.
