Wrap Up in Madison

BSN Madison Fall 2013

Our time with YWAM Madison went by with a snap of fingers.  As I (Noah) look back at our time in Madison I realize just how great of a time it really was.  First of all, there were no mosquitoes to contest with, just in time for me to remember that God has really blessed other parts of the world with an absence of the nasty things.  But really, being in Madison was such a refreshing time for our family to recoup, Eliana to take her first steps while celebrating her first year of life, and to watch God move in people's lives as the truths in his word became alive.

Teaching in Nepal with Concrete examples :)
Much of the time in ministry, it is hard to see the immediate effect of the effort you put into life, which makes it so much more rewarding when you do get to witness it.  Towards the end of the school, the students shared just how deeply they were affected and transformed in their thinking and understanding of the Bible.  Many of them said that they "always knew God was good, but for the first time, they really KNOW that God is good and have seen it evident in the scriptures."

Now they are off in Japan and Nepal teaching the same materials that we taught them, and the influence goes beyond just a few students in a classroom.  In similar fashion, most of the participants in the seminars they run will go back to their own churches and families and continue to pass on the same teachings about God's goodness.
Influence really does go beyond the people you talk to and interact with on an average day.  Right now the things that I've taught are being shared in little mud houses by simple Nepali farmers whom I've never met.  WOW!
