Every day when I help Eliana get ready for her nap I find myself sitting next to her a little longer than usual while I think about how things are going to be very different in a short couple weeks when her baby sister arrives. How did this girl get so big? Yet, she's still so little!
We sing 2 songs each day right before she takes her nap. I used to just pick random songs until Eliana continually insisted on the "Ohhhohhohh Song" which took me a couple attempts to figure out what song that was exactly, but once I figured it out it has become the one she wants every single day. She even knows all the words to the entire song. I've shared before about the significance of this song during my pregnancy and the first week of her life (click here), since then it has continued to be a type of Memorial Stone for me like in Joshua 4. Every time I hear the song I'm reminded of God's goodness and faithfulness and that the hand of the LORD is mighty.
So what is this song? 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) by Matt Redman
In fact while I was finding the youtube video Eliana heard the song and came running over and started singing along. I've been wanting to add a little something to Eliana's room that includes this song, but it wasn't until this winter that my sister gifted this to Eliana for her room in our new place. How appropriate and a great reminder of God's goodness!
